ECHOstore OPENS AT THE MARRIOTT
CEBU, Philippines - Last May 25, the Cebu City Marriott Hotel (CCMH) hosted a press conference at the Rosal and Adelfa room where special guests Jeannie Juan and highly recognized entrepreneur Pacita Juan of Manila’s much talked about “green” store, the ECHOstore in Serendra Piazza, Fort Bonifacio Global City shared their passion and their success story, encouraging and educating all to practice sustainable living. The Cebu City Marriott Hotel has recently partnered with the “green” store and has occupied a portion of the hotel’s gift shop creating environmental awareness and promoting sustainability to consumers.
The ECHOstore Sustainable Lifestyle is the first concept store of its kind in the Philippines. ECHO is the acronym for Environment & Community Hope Organization store. Here, one can get everything needed to start living a sustainable lifestyle. Barely three years of operation, they have received several awards including the Ayala Malls Green Award in 2009 for merchant’s initiatives in educating and promoting sustainability of the environment to customers and practicing sustainability in store operations.
