CEBU, Philippines - The Intellectual Property Coalition (IPC), a group of industry organizations that leads in the promotion and protection of intellectual property rights, hosted the launching of the IP Seal Campaign at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino last May 6. The IP Seal Campaign aims to give recognition to businesses in Cebu and other cities in the country that are committed to the compliance with IP standards and best business practices. The IP Coalition seeks to harness support of legitimate businessmen, via a strategic partnership with companies that registers for the IP Seal.
According to Atty. Jun Rodriguez, Sec. General of the IPC, “The IP Seal shows the public that your company is a cut above the rest. That you carry legitimate products and you adhere to standards of excellent quality.”
During the launch of the IP Seal Campaign, two companies were selected as the first IP Icons. Recognition was given to Campaigns Cebu and Ayala Center Cebu as the first two IP Seal awardees in the Philippines. The two companies were chosen for their long support of intellectual property rights and for successfully completing their software audit.
