We couldn’t say no to the invitation of young entrepreneurs Marlon and Alienita Ceniza to see their products. And I’m glad we attended because we would have missed seeing the Sophie products.
Sophie is derived from French designer Sophie Martin. She was a former designer of Christian Dior, a world-famous fashion brand.
Sophie, which originated in Indonesia in 1994, has a line up of very stylish classic and modern ladies bags in all colors; blouses in incomparable designs; shoes to match the bags; fashion jewelry; and cosmetics, among others. The bags, though beautifully designed, are very much affordable. Sophie is sold through multi-level marketing and a catalogue comes out bi-monthly to help patrons choose from among the many products.
Should you want to join the Sophie empire, please call Tel. No. 419-1106 for more information.

And breezing into town last week for his yearly R&R was our fave friend from New Jersey, Dr. Jose “Bebe” Barba. While here, Bebe made his rounds with friends Quinto and Lilia Obiso with whom he had merienda at their lovely home in Beverly Hills. Days later, it was at the hilltop, nine-bedroom manse of Ben and Tessie Café where dinner was “inato lang.” The imposing home of the Cafes is at Vista Grande in Talisay, and upon entering the living room, we were amazed to see the huge chandelier, so beautiful lording over the whole living room!
Before leaving for his home-base in New Jersey, Bebe had dinner with our group at Marco Polo Plaza (advance birthday dinner!) and Bebe met the hospitable Marco Polo GM Hans Hauri. Of course, he was impressed!?
