Hilton Cebu's White Party

CEBU, Philippines – The Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa recently hosted a relaxed white themed beach party to present the hotel’s newly appointed general manager, Markus Kraus.

The affair, which fell on a Thursday, coincided with the regular entertainment that featured the awesome fire dance exhibition, various dances of the Pacific and the Music and Motion band. The sumptuous spread showcased the finest of seafood including island crabs with mango salad, squid adobo in tausi sauce, prawns, seafood spring rolls with Thai sweet chili and salmon Gravadlax Rosette.

Kraus, a Swiss national, has been with the different Hilton properties for 20 years. Though it is his first time in the Philippines and in Cebu, he is not new to such diverse culture and environment having worked in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.

Prior to joining Hilton Cebu, he was in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia   as part of the pre-opening team and before that in Hilton Fujairah Resort, United Arab Emirates, both times as the General Manager.

A seasoned hotelier with in depth knowledge of the hospitality industry, Kraus stated that he is happy to be working with a professional and committed team and more importantly being a part of the high service standard that Hilton Cebu is consistently renowned for.

Kraus is a family man and he is here in Cebu with his wife Brigitte and daughter Nathalie. And though his mother tongue is German, he is fluent in both English and French and possesses basic knowledge of Arabic.

The casual, fun, yet relaxed evening ended with invitees extending the traditional Cebuano hospitality to Markus and Brigitte Kraus as they make Cebu their second home.
