CEBU, Philippines - Evenings at Plantation Bay Resort & Spa in Mactan Island are indeed nights to remember as entertainment is taken a notch higher with diverse themed-nights and open-dinner buffets. They’ve got almost every night covered starting from Monday with Hawaiian Luau at the Peninsula Beach, CharBQ for a beach barbeque party at Orion every Tuesday, Wednesdays spell Filipino Fiesta in Galapagos Beach, Saturday is the scorching Brazilian Fever also in Galapagos and its newest dinner show during sultry Fridays in Galapagos Beach is Sahara Nights.
Reminiscent of Arabian nights, Sahara Nights display a feast of gypsies and belly dancers composed of Plantation Bay employees donning Middle Eastern fancy costumes. Galapagos is dressed in casual Moroccan banquet set-up with an intricately decorated marquee at the center of the multi-colored tent. Highlight of this newest dinner show is a quick belly dancing workshop facilitated by a professional instructor, assisted by Plantation Bay employees. Guests can run up to the stage and demonstrate the routines. The entertainment is matched with good food, as well. – Jen F. Vega
