Hilton's new leading man Markus Kraus

CEBU, Philippines - Hilton Cebu Resort & Spa has recently named a new General Manager, Markus Kraus. Markus has lead the team starting late December of 2009 and through the current year with positive attitude.

Though it is his first time in Cebu and in the Philippines, he is not new to a different environment, culture and people. He is a globe totter and it forms part of his career, having worked in Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia-Pacific.

Markus has been with Hilton for 20 years and counting, with its different properties around the world. Prior to joining the Cebu team he was in Ulaanbaatar as part of the pre-opening team and before that in Hilton Fujairah Resort both times leading as the General Manager.

On top of being a manager, Markus is also an experienced mentor and assessor for high potential employees. An opportunity for him to share his knowledge and expertise to other Hilton mangers who have high potentials and aspiring for positions such as what he is holding now.

This Swiss national is also a family man and he is here in Cebu with wife Brigitte and daughter Nathalie. And though his mother tongue is German he is fluent in both English and French and possesses basic knowledge in Arabic.

Markus maybe a new face in Cebu and in Hilton now but soon you will see him much more often and become a pleasant familiar face you would often see to represent Hilton Cebu Resort & Spa.
