Finding your ultimate hang-out place at the Nuvo

CEBU, Philippines - If you were asked what your ultimate late night hang-out place would be, I bet that you would have loads of answers.

There’s the beautiful people with a dash of Cebu’s glitterati; great music that you can dance to or just perfect for chilling out; and cool lighting effects that would not give you a headache, but just enough for you to be able to read the menu.

How about your favorite beer and luscious cocktails at the best prices this side of town? Or the best deal in food, that’s both filling and mouth-watering?

And then there are those who would just want to be given the opportunity to feel like a star and sing all night. Or why not be a little sporty and invite your friends to push some balls?

Whatever your description would be for that perfect hang-out place, you would definitely find it at Nuvo. A corruption of the French word nouveau, Nuvo is the newest fashionable place to be from late night till dawn.

Last December 18, the restobar launched its newest promotion, Fire and Frost, which basically encapsulates the experience that one would have at this Salinas Drive party place.

“When you go inside, you would enjoy the hyped up (fiery) party. And if you just want to chill out, you can go outside and have a laidback time enjoying the company of your friends,” said Nuvo’s creator, Syc Jude D. Caya.

Caya said that Nuvo will redefine how Cebuanos will be having a good time. “Usually, people would expect to drink when they want to have a good time,” he said. “Here we give them several options, and they can enjoy it all in one night.”

Together with the launch of Fire and Frost, Nuvo also introduced its 3+1 deal for Red Horse Beer for only P180, and for San Mig Light at P160. They are also giving out their pitcher of their best cocktail, the Margarita and Kamikaze, at only P300.

He said that since their main clienteles are the BPO workforce, they are also offering P50 mouth-watering meals with a choice of pork cutlets, sisig rice and pork toppings.

Caya added that as the year comes to a close and the whole of Cebu braces for the Sinulog Festival, Nuvo is also preparing for its post-New Year party on January 2, to kick-off the New Year and the start of the Sinulog party fever.

“We will be having the Tanduay Ice Night Party with guest DJs, beautiful models, exciting games, and discounts of up to 15 percent on Tanduay products,” he said.

The Sinulog Party, on the other hand, will be a four days-four nights escapade with nightly bands playing at the garage and DJs spinning party music inside. The party will ignite on the 14th with a 24-hour concert.

But sans the special events, Nuvo’s party bar is open from Wednesday to Saturday, 6 p.m. till dawn. The billiards and KTV bar is open 24/7.
