UC Biokinetics

- Dax Barlaan -

Under the brilliant tutelage of dance maestro Ceasar Amir F. Nimor, the Biokinetics, composed of dance education students of the University of Cebu, staged a multi-cultural presentation at the Gaisano South entertainment stage last month.

Authentic and near-authentic costumes paraded on the stage as dances from the Asia-Pacific region were portrayed. Traditional Thai, Malaysian and Cambodian dances wowed the crowd. One of the dances presented was the Putungan, a Filipino Christian lowland dance from Marinduque. It is a dance tradition in honor of birthday celebrants and guests.

“It’s very fulfilling”, noted Nimor as he smiled while the crowd gave an applause during his students’ performance.

Kudos to the group.
