A culinary journey to the heart of Cebuano cuisine at Shangri-La

CEBU, Philippines - Join Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa as it celebrates the Culinary Heritage of Cebu with Pusô sa Puso, a Cebuano Food Festival at Tides. For nine days on weekends from October 23 to November 8, dining guests will enjoy an array of delightful local Cebuano gastronomic treasures culled from centuries of shared history with the Spanish, Chinese and Malay. Renowned food expert, Ms. Jessica Avila together with the team of Filipino Chefs Adolfo Lopez, Chef Zenaida Amaca and Chef Edgardo Butawan bring refreshing twists to time-honored Cebuano fare.

Well loved classics such as the world-famous Cebu Lechon with crispy skin to-die-for, Kilawin nga Tanguige made from the nothing but the freshest ingredients are just some of the dishes that will line the splendid buffet spread. Healthy treats such as Kinamunggayang Manok, said to be Manny Pacquiao’s secret brew will also grace tables and set the mood for a truly local culinary experience. Sweet treats with recipes passed down from generation to generation such as Maruya na Saging and Kulo na may Latik are sure to bring back sweet memories of celebrations at home. 

With fifty six years of combined culinary experience working for various food and beverage departments in different Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, the team of Filipino chefs is excited to share their creations to both international and local diners during the food festival.

Pusô sa Puso, a Cebuano Food Festival at Tides is available for Dinner Buffet on Friday and Saturday on October 23, 24, 30, 31, November 6 and 7 for Php 1,440 ++ and Lunch Buffet on Sundays on October 25, November 1 and 8 for Php 1,220++.
