CEBU, Philippines - Amidst the many celebrations and events we have immersed ourselves into last month, there was always time for heart and effort to help out in sending relief goods to the capital for the victims of Typhoon Ondoy. Yes, generous individuals and establishments heeded the call of our brothers and sisters in need.
The city’s only premiere club, Vudu and the Outpost Restaurant were venues for Cebu’s “Ondoy Live Aid.” Only the finest musicians, the likes of Pandora, Powerspoonz and Eve’s Garden, to name a few, gathered in two nights of good vibes and live jammin’. On a similar drive, Formo opened its doors as drop-off center for relief goods, the Loft and the Penthouse also joined the campaign by donating a weekend of door fee proceeds to the cause. Well of course, knowing us Cebuanos, it is party as usual come any typhoon or hurricane. Thanks to all the supporters and volunteers!
Speaking of celebrations, here is a diary of September birthdays of very dear friends and family: Sept1-Erla Arañas, 4-Sherwin Summer Noval, 6-Darwin Saromines and Monina Pilapil Montealto, 18-Jim Hiranpruck, 19-my dad Amador Pilapil Jr., 21-Kloodie del Rosario, 22-Marinor Kuizon and 29-Regi Magdadaro and Sherlock Solante. It goes without saying, a party entailed for each. Whew! Cheers, everyone.
