GT Cosmetics expands product line

-

CEBU, Philippines - Cebu-based GT Cosmetics has expanded its beauty product-line offering to further serve the growing demands of the beauty segment of the market and stay on top of the very competitive industry.

GT Cosmetics founder Leonora Salvane, a chemical engineer, said the company will soon launch three more beauty products this year. These are the moisturizing cream, the bleaching cream and the clarifiance. These products are in addition to the company’s existing product line composed of the three soap varieties—bleaching, carrot and papaya, the GT sun block, cleanser and astringent for men and women.

Salvane expects to satisfy the growing demands for herbal-based beauty products in the market with the company’s introduction of its new products. GT uses as main ingredient for its products highly refined coconut oil, which is more purified and more expensive than what is normally used.

From a humble beginning of only P10, 000-working capital, GT Cosmetic’s distribution network in the Visayas and Mindanao has been growing since it started in 1992. It has started penetrating the Luzon market by talking to distributors in the area.

Despite financial constraints for advertising and promotions, Salvane said the company’s products are competing well with large beauty companies. GT cosmetics are available in leading supermarkets and department stores all over the country.

In recognition to the power of media to help shape a brighter future for the country, GT Cosmetics has supported Cebu’s celebration of the recently concluded Press Freedom Week.
