CEBU, Philippines - Every girl’s introduction to fashion began with her first Barbie Doll. Endless hours of playing dress up with the gorgeous blonde is the first time a young lady learns which garments look good together, how to mix and match colors and have her first inkling of her own personal style. Barbie is not just an icon but is also a significant cultural symbol of youth, style, creativity and ideals for generations of girls. She continues to inspire girls to dream, discover and explore a world without limits.
For the Holidays, Barbie embarks in an exclusive tie-up with SM Department Store featuring the “Sister and Me” collection – upsized versions of the adorable children’s wear that every girl covets. It gives older girls a chance to wear the latest Barbie fashions and relive their childhood memories.
As the world continues to celebrate Barbie’s 50th anniversary with a slew of events, SM Department store highlighted this new collection in the runway at a major launch last September 4 at SM North Edsa. Girls from different ages show off the exclusive line and reveal the wide range of designs that will cater to not only little girls but their older sisters as well. Similar fashion extravaganza was showcased last Saturday in SM City Cebu’s The Northwing Atrium.
Barbie is exclusively distributed by Richwell Trading Corporation. The “Sister and Me” collections are available exclusively at SM Dept, Store children’s wear department.
