Shoes for Kicks!

CEBU, Philippines - Legions of daredevils have been sold out to extreme sports; men and women alike have been addicted to the adrenaline rush! The moment one gets interested to an extreme sport, the first thing that comes to mind is getting oneself the vital gears to start up, say shoes is one of them.

Rally racing driver Ken Block, who is also a snowboarding, skateboarding and motocross enthusiast, got his creative juices brewing in conceptualizing the perfect pair that merges shoes and cars, hence the DC Shoes x Ken Block Manteca 3 Lowtop and Spartan High. Both creations mirror Block’s passion for racing and skateboarding.

On the recently-concluded Glade Sports Lateral Drift Championship Pro-Series 2009, the limited edition Spartan High Ken Block shoes were seen hanging in both side mirrors of the DC drift car driven by race car driver Gaby dela Merced who was sporting DC Shoes Xander Six Pack Collaboration shoes. According to the racer, though it was her first time to drift, the experience sure brought back memories of her Slalom days when she was just getting started.

These spunky shoes, that are definitely for the extreme, are for racing and skateboarding – all rolled into one.
