CEBU, Philippines - The new generation of Filipinas is bravely facing the world – and wellness is their best weapon.
With all the challenges that the 21stcentury Filipino women face on a regular basis, being in tiptop shape allows them to face every problem with confidence and grace – may it be career-related or otherwise. Looking good and feeling good is no longer just for vanity’s sake: women are prioritizing their health to keep up with the today’s fast-paced lifestyle.
And in their mission to find ways to keep women fit, innovative footwear brand FitFlop, from the Primer Group of Companies, is continually committed to incorporating fitness in women’s lives with every step of the way.
“Women must learn to value their health, especially in these stressful times,” says Melody Nubla, brand manager for FitFlop, member of the Primer Group of Companies “Leading a full life means putting health first and making decisions to be healthy – regardless of their lifestyle choices.”
Staying true to their dedication in championing women’s well-being, FitFlop takes their task to uphold women’s health by supporting the advocacy against cervical cancer – a fatal yet preventable disease which kills 12 Filipinas daily. With its “Pink Line” sandal range, a portion of every pair’s sale will go to the Cervical Cancer Prevention Network Program, an organization working to eliminate cervical cancer among Filipino women.
Partnering with GlaxoSmithKline, a global pharmaceuticals company, FitFlop is spearheading the inoculation of its 100 female staff, along with its top clients with GSK’s vaccine.
“As a brand catering to female health and fitness, we support every undertaking that is aligned with our pro-women commitment,” notes Ms. Nubla. “And this is the reason why we believe in GlaxoSmithKline’s thrust to help protect all women from cervical cancer”
GSK’s vaccine offers protection from HPV strains 16, 18, and 45 – the most common types which cause cervical cancer among Filipinas. Also, the vaccine provides a longer defense from the threat of the opportunistic virus, with the high and sustained antibody levels extending up to 7.3 years. The vaccine, together with regular screening will significantly reduce the risk for developing cervical cancer – allowing women to lead their lives with ease of mind.
With their weapon of health, women can proudly confront whatever trials that lie ahead for them. And with the support of brands such as FitFlop and GSK that advance their cause, their success is truly guaranteed.
