SANÃœK for a HAPPY FEET

-

Sanük means “pursuit of happiness.” It is not only our name it also speaks of our approach to business and life. Our logo is the little gumby-like icon we call “Happy U”. “U” is somebody you might know. He wasn’t always happy, but having escaped from the clutches of mainstream life, he is free to be the irreverent symbol of Sanük. If you look around you’ll see him in fairly outrageous situations whether it be on product or in our marketing.

Sanük is a young surf brand. Sanük was founded and is owned by Jeff Kelley, a Huntington Beach grom, who started making sandals out of inner tubes. He’s sick, but that is a fundamental in our business. Jeff’s first commercial effort was a sandal made out of indoor-outdoor carpet. When Jeff gave one of our prominent surf retailers the first ever preview of a Sanük sandal, the retailer asked, “Where did you get the idea?” Jeff replied, “Hey, its outdoor carpet, just like my backyard.” The retailer said, “You’re not for real?” Well he was. Today, the Fur Real is a standard, especially in the ugly green color. We still have that Trailer Trash design flair, as anyone can plainly see.

Sanük has gained one of the more sought after market positions in specialty surf retailing authenticity. The Sanük sandal collection is designed for the global surf and water community. The simplicity of architecture and the unusual sense of color and style have made Sanük the inside choice for the surfers around the world.

The Sanük product array is really different from the mundane wall of black that you see on the conventional sandal wall. Where else can you find Jellies, indoor-outdoor carpet flip flops, Tarzan prints, Guatemala blanket thongs, or super cushy, super commercial sandals? How about very cool variations of indigenous folk art themes on leather sandals? We look for the consumer who has a different slant on life.

But “Happy” does not mean technically inferior. We go to great lengths to make sure that we set the comfort standard in sandals. Lots of brands make this claim, but we urge you to simply put a Sanük on one foot and any other brand on the other. See for yourself. All of our sandals are constructed in a proprietary materials formulation that has the optimum combo of softness and durability. Our sandals are all constructed around a “last” or foot model to insure that the location and girth of the straps are always correct and consistent. We build in arch support and toe spring to make sure there is no toe stubbing going on or any other irritating rubs or hot spots that are pretty common in the business. Out heel to toe length is right on every time.

Sanük is available in ResToeRun and Bratpack Ayala Center Cebu. It is exclusively distributed by: Primer Group of Companies. Soon to open: G/F, Active Zone, Ayala Center Cebu & G/F, New Wing SM Cebu.

Find your beginnings at Woodgrove Place

Starting up a family has become a much bigger challenge, especially because most parents want a safe neighborhood for their children. And many parents realize that when it comes to the best environment where children can grow up in, small is better. Families would like to live in small communities, where neighbors know each other, where children can find playmates.

This is the idea behind the neighborhood enclave called Woodgrove Place. Located in Mactan, the community is composed of only 20 houses so there is privacy, security, and peace.

The homes are so designed for a start-up family to have enough space for growth and yet the investment is well within reach.

Welcome home to Woodgrove.
