Trend Alert: Bedazzled Layering

CEBU, Philippines - Girls (and the ladies, of course) just wanna have fun when it comes to style. Power dressing has never been this fun with a myriad of styles that are nonetheless fashion forward and chic.

SM City Cebu Department Store sought the help of fashion specialist Cosmopolitan Magazine (Philippines) fashion editor Kat Dy to share her expertise in trends forecasting and hoisting the red “trend alert” flag. Before the month of August ended, SM Department store gathered its shoppers for a heads up on what’s in and hot for the season.

Kat Dy explained: Punk rock glam is the rave, of course inspired by the new pop muse Lady Gaga! It’s all about layering, jackets over preppy dresses… and what the ladies go gaga nowadays are embellished tops, dresses, tunics complimented with a boyfriend jacket and everything bedazzled! Your classic black and white ensembles are absolutely chic as ever. Oh, accessories/trinkets/knick knacks such as cuffs, bangles cocktail rings and head bands must be top of mind to match that spunky look.
