New faces in the fashion campus

CEBU, Philippines – School is finally back and the faces to watch out for have been unveiled.

After almost two months of trainings, the Stylissimo Style School - Summer Workshop culminated with a bang via the recent Style Gala held at the Teatro Hall of PAGCOR, Waterfront Hotel and Casino Lahug. Cebu’s chic crowd turned up to witness who will be the newest addition to this city’s burgeoning fashion and modeling industry. The Stylefirm, a fashion concepts and consultancy group, presented 10 young aspiring model graduates as they walked the ramp for the first time and showed guests how the knowledge, skills, and attitude they learned from the workshop matter in becoming the next face in fashion.

All 10 personified different character looks and aura in becoming the new runway diva, the most photographed face, the commercial sensation, the promising TV personality , or the latest product endorser and spokesperson, and even the next beauty queen.

Fashion designer and founder of Clothes for Life Foundation, Ms Joy Bernaldez, spoke with grace as she inspired the young fashionistas to be the best that they can be, to gear up and get ready for the hard work and reality of the fashion scene. A.D MODELS President Joe France Canizares congratulated the graduates and Stylefirm for a job well done.

Stylefirm’s mentors were Dr. Grace Balankig – CCTN TV host and a Toastmasters member, RCTV VJ and commercial model - Nikki Taylor, Ford Supermodel of the World Phils. 1st runner up and Ms. Sony Cybershot – Gwen Trott Rizarri, reigning Mutya ng Pilipinas Tourism – Jam Charish Libatog, Ms. Cebu 2007 Loise Angelique Tan and the reigning Ms Cebu 2009 – Kris Tiffany Janson together with this writer and A.D Models Homme et Femme pioneers. Makeover master Jonas Borces simply transformed the graduates’ looks as they were photographed by top lens man Dan Douglas Ong and beautified by maquillage maven Gari Son as seen in these profile photos.

Watch these new faces on the catwalk at the Parkmall open stage today, June 12 at 8:00 PM for the “Rock N Fashion” show. The Style Gala – Stylissimo Style School fashion event will be seen on a special episode of MAG TV na!, ABS-CBN CEBU’s top rated TV show, on June 14.
