Traugott-Elvira's 25th Wedding Anniversary

It was a momentous event indeed to two people in love as they tacitly pledged within their hearts to love even more for the rest of their lives.

Traugott Goll, a German national, and Elvira Perez, a true-blue Cebuano, got married so simply on an Easter Sunday 25 years ago. They lived in Hong Kong for sometime, after which, they moved to Austria where Traugott had quite a successful business.

Easter Sunday of this year, Traugott and Elvie with their only child Sarah came home to celebrate with élan their silver wedding anniversary. Instead of renewal of vows, a Thanksgiving Mass was officiated by Fr. Ulrich Schlecht at Casino Español de Cebu. Immediately after the Mass, a sumptuous lunch followed at the Salon de España.

In the evening, at 6PM, Traugott, Elvie, relatives and guests drove to Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa where the celebration continued with cocktails and a dinner reception at the Ocean Pavilion. While dinner was going on, Val Sandiego presented the entertainment numbers. In between, a quartet rendered some old and romantic songs of yesteryears. And with a band ready to bring the lightfooted guests to the dancefloor, dancing lasted till midnight, with Traugott and Elvie and the guests enjoying every moment of the soiree!

Elvie can never thank Governor Gwen Garcia enough, who in the midst of her hectic schedules, found time to join the couple on this auspicious occasion. Their appreciation was resonating around the ballroom.
