Well, that’s exactly what the STYLEFIRM created during the Ayala Center Cebu’s SUMMER SOIREE event held at the palm clad stage of The Terraces last April 30, where SPEEDO’s 2009 Summer Collection was presented.
The invited crowd got excited as the country’s most sought after DJ, Elmer Dado and Gruppo Tribale drum beaters mixed the best tribal house music and opened the show. And just when you thought that everyone was ready to dance the night away, a red-hot convertible popped out on stage ushering in sun-kissed muses from A.D MODELS HOMME ET FEMME in stylized beach and swim wear by SPEEDO. The scene pretty much reminded us of an episode from the hit TV series that got us all glued to the boob tube back in the 90s. Remember the stars that changed the look of what teens wore back then? Their personal styles influenced fashion, and the way we dress up to party became a lifestyle. The “Performance & Sports” collection was also highlighted as models mimicked different swim strokes. The finale featured the “Fashion” collection, which down-right hinted that Speedos aren’t just for swimming but are also fashionable casual must-haves, especially if you just want to lounge in a posh resort or attend a stylish pool party.
