Business Software Alliance, the foremost organization dedicated to promote a safe and legal digital world, threw a party “of music and fun” for the media last week at Alejandro’s Filipino Resto in Don Jose Avila Street, Capitol Site. BSA’s campaigns are concentrated on education (they hold information drive in schools and organizations regarding computer software legal license), public policy (they go to congress to give support to legislative matters concerning the IT environment) and enforcement (in protection of software copyright). On its third annual bridal fair, Marco Polo Plaza Hotel made it bigger this year with more exhibitors joining the two-day wedding extravaganza. Marco Polo turned into a one-stop destination for dream weddings as it showcased a handful of wedding need providers from fireworks to lingerie, cakes to documentation needs (photography and video coverage), wine suppliers to gown designers, accessories to wedding planners, among many others that occupied the Grand Ballroom. A bridal fashion show held last Sunday featuring the creations of Fashion Council of Cebu culminated the two-day event.

A summer street party culminated the three-day Nestea Beach Volleyball National Circuit ’09 held at The Parkmall in Mandaue City. After the fashion show that featured the latest beach wear collection of lifestyle Ilonggo designer PJ Arañador, DJs Miko Syquia and DJ David Ardiente of Drivenmanila did their thing and got everybody in dancing mood with Cebu’s very own Knapsack Dancers leading the moves. The Piazza Area turned into a party arena as the beat turned even hotter and sensual.
