Quota International Inc. 15th District Conference
CEBU, Philippines - The Quota International, Inc. 41st District will hold its 15th District Conference on April 23 – 25, 2009 at the Cebu City Marriott Hotel. The Quota International is one of the world’s oldest international service organizations and the organization is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year. The Philippines has been part of the Quota International District 41 since 1976. It was founded by Wanda Frey Joines in Buffalo, New York.
The Quota International focuses on deaf and hard-of hearing persons and disadvantaged women and children. The district officers are Lin B. Liboro, District Governor, Carolina Plad District Lieutenant Governor and Joan Marie Facuri, District secretary-treasurer. The Quota International of Cebu, Quota Talisay and Quota Mandaue Discon host 2009 and Ms. Cristina N. Corominas, Discon chairperson and Atty. Jocelyn Pesquera is the vice-chairman.
The Quota International of Talisay, Cebu also recently held the Annual King and Queen of Hearts 2009 at the Grand Convention Center. The event started with the coronation of the King and Queen of Hearts 2009 in the persons of Ramon Vito Najarro and Jeanne Hailey Gawchua and the Queen Mother is Margarette Rosemary Nolan Green. Quotarian president June Francis Chiongbian welcomed participants to the event.
