A Shopper's Diner
Frequent shoppers of Metro Ayala get even more fortunate as its in-house restaurant rolls out its upgraded menu.
Located at the lower ground floor of Metro Ayala, Metro Café went full swing in 1997 and is not resting on its laurels in serving intercontinental fares. Though nestled in a secluded area, at the home and furniture department, hungry shoppers are still attracted to this quaint cafe because of its private and laidback ambiance.
Just recently, Metro Café improved its menu by adding new dishes such as children’s favorite Chicken Teriyaki, Pork Cordon Bleu for the meat eaters, Spicy Fish Fillet for those who vouch for the hot and spicy, Fish in Coco Peanut Cream for the pseudo-vegetarians, Fresh Apple Pie, Cheese Cake, Cookies and Cream Cake for the sweet tooth. House specialties like Hickory Smoked Ribs, Rum Cake, Classic Bolognese, Sausage and Tomato Pasta with Chicken, Monte Cristo & Clubhouse Sandwich, and Panini Sandwiches, Beef Fajitas are still on the list since these favorites earned them a huge following and are their tickets to fame, in other words.
According to OIC Hilaria A. Coreal, through the years, Metro Café has never stopped reinventing and upgrading its services. In fact, to encourage vegetarians to try out their place, they provided the Create Your Own Salad bar where diners could eat and dress up their own salad for only P99. Dressing choices include Italian, Thousand Island and Ceasar. From being a cake and coffee shop at the start, it is now a full-blown café serving executive meals with vegetable side dish, deli delights, cold/hot beverages, pasta choices and salads. They have also put up an internet café near the foyer. For a P25/ hour rental, one can surf the net.
Coreal added that her kitchen staff/cooks were trained by an American chef therefore, she assures that quality yet affordable food are on its way in Metro Café. It is also interesting to note that Metro Café’s food choices only amounts to no more than P200.
So after a shopping spree, head to Metro Café for another treat…this time, for the hungry tummy.
