A son of Lucerne Switzerland now holds the position of Executive Chef at the Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa. Chef Peter Anton Wicki Swiss Australian, born and raised from one of Europe’s prime tourist destinations.
This intrepid man adores impressing people with his culinary expertise. He has been pleasing people’s palates for 24 years. His culinary career started when he graduated from the Culinary School for chef’s apprenticeship in Lucerne and Gstaad Switzerland.
His strong culinary back ground begun humbly as a kitchen trainee in Switzerland. He then worked as a Commis de Cuisine in 1985 then went up the rank to Chef de Partie Tournant in the same year. He later became a Chef de Partie Garde Manger after two years. He became a Sous Chef later on. He served as an Executive Head Chef from 1999 in three different countries prior to joining Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa.
He not only has been climbing the ranks but he has also been exploring the world in the process. His latest work was in Abu Dhabi, UAE. He also had the opportunity to work in Bahrain in 2006 and in Jordan last 2003. He also had been to the Philippines before as an Executive Chef Consultant and as Sous Chef in 1996 and 1998 respectively. He has also worked in China, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and The Grand Cayman Islands.
Chef Peter is multi lingual, able to speak fluent English and German. He can also speak basic French and is hopeful to learn Filipino during his stay with Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa. He would like to continue developing his career with exposure in the most respected international hospitality groups and by becoming part of a company that has a true desire for both customer and associate satisfaction.
