AFM Learning Center's Cultural Extravaganza
Simple locomotor and axial exercises started it all. Pupils and students of the An Ma Fritz Macapas (AFM) Learning School - Compostela branch learned the basic dance step fundamentals and trained weekly for their dance culminating activity at the D.M. Reynes Compostela Gymnasium last Sunday during its annual Family Day celebration.
Working through three meetings per month, starting when the semester opened this year, the students performed their best albeit the very brief rehearsal period their schedule did allow.
They were so anxious to perform that they knew what to do even when left at the mercy of a disarranged program flow due to costumes not being delivered on time for their scheduled performance. Except for the costume flop, performance on stage was unaffected, poised and very entertaining.
AFM performers, composed of pupils from Kinder one and two, grades one to six, and students from first year and second year were given an opportunity to perform at the Fuente Osmeña last Wednesday for “Pasko sa Sugbo.” They did not fail audience expectation. Their performance included a dance travelogue of Filipino folk dances and a tribute to next year’s Sinulog festival. AFM Learning Center - Compostela, Bogo and Daanbantayan branches are managed by Madame Joyce Macapaz.
