New Center for Artists now in Mandaue City
A new place in Mandaue City serves as a center for fine art where artists can gather and exhibit their works – Gallery Q. Already in operation since August, Gallery Q is set to have its grand launching on December 11.
More than a hundred paintings and sculptures of Cebu’s finest visual artists will be featured in the grand launching exhibit which will run up to December 31. A total of 54 artists will participate in the exhibit, these are: Sofronio Dela Cerna, Luther Galicano, Jose Mari Picornell, Bobby Gonzales, Ritchie Quijano, Carmelo Tamayo, Raymund Fernandez, Stella Fernandez, Maxcel Migallos, Rita Piczon, Bernardo Hermoso, Antonio Vidal , Kimsoy Yap, Cesar Castillo, Celso Pepito, Sonia Yrastorza, Fe Madrid Pepito, Gabriel Abellana, Jun Impas, Jose Brillo Villaver, Dennis Montera, Lucilo Sagayno, Jesse Rona, Andrew Barba, Josua Cabrera, Radel Paredes, Adonis Durado, Pepe Villadolid, Karin Jordal, Jorge Lao, Geraldine Ocampo, Mar Vidal, Francis Gonzales, Leopoldo Aguilar, Faith Domingo, John Dinglasa, Palmy Pe-Tudtud, Rudy Mañero, Boy Briones, Carlos Florido, Jess Najarro, Marlowe Villagonzalo, Fred Galan, Gigi Galan, Karl Roque, Javy Villacin, Boy Kiamko, Tito Cuevas, Nunelucio Alvarado, Nomar Miano, Koki Miano, Jet Florendo, Evan Bejec, and Benji Goyha.
Gallery Q hopes to become a catalyst of change so art can flourish as a vibrant local industry by providing linkages with international artists and art industry players for potential transfers of technology and art exchanges.
