Reunions Galore

We missed the big reunion of the Suico Clan held at the CRMC Roof Garden in Bogo City. But before we left for Uncle Sam’s country, a little get-together was held at the home of our eldest cousin Viving del Fierro at their home in Happy Valley and we had quite some fun seeing our nieces, nephews and cousins, too.

There was Esther Suico Aranas with daughter Erla, Vicente and Lucy Suico, Anna Marie Rabor with brod Monching and sister Maritess Rafanan from Boston, Mila Castro, Willy Salinas and Babe Hansen and Dr. Rene Rafols, to name a few.

Here in Torrance City, we had a reunion with the Mendoza and Ynot family. Guia is our niece married to Larry Querubin, whose eldest son Hubert married Mylene. With us in the group were Loly Casas and children Rudel and Danny Batalla, Fiza Du and son Jason, sister Felicia Ynclino and, of course, the Querubin boys Hilgard and Harvey.

Topping it all was the reunion, sort of, with our friends from way back Rotary South days. We met Choling Paulin Alcabao, who has been in the US for the last 30 years. With us were our very own Pilar Puno, who was visiting daughters Pia, Yet Yet and Ebe and Mila Tamayo, whose hubby Joe passed away recently. They are now residents of West Covina after uprooting themselves from Pennsylvania. Funny, but our only topic during lunch was our wonderful togetherness during our Rotary days. Oh how we missed the jokes and antics of our former colleagues, though some have gone ahead to the great beyond.

And talking of Cebuanos, we also met Julius and Nelia Neri who stayed with Nono and Myn Yu, Kit and Norma Borromeo who were with George Sanchez, and Bebot Ramas who stayed with Ramon and Cynthia Logarta in Glendale. Cebuanos indeed, mangita gyud ug mga Sugbuanon!
