City Sports' Sunset Beer Splash

So when mi chica Meyen rang my busy little mobile to say that we were invited to City Sports Club’s Sunset Beer Splash, how could I say no? Within a minute of talking to her, I was mindfully piecing my wardrobe together and watered up for the expected toxic doses of alcohol I was sure to take in that night. It was the eve before Halloween and the timing was perfect for everyone to meet up, finalize our group costume and just lounge by the pool with drinks in our hands. San Miguel Beer was thoughtful enough to not forget it was the month of the famous Oktoberfest of Germany. And although beer would not be my first choice, I liked the whole concept of having my drink by the pool with tiki torches to complete the sunset ambiance, acoustic music followed by my ultra-fave DJ Mael at the booth to provide the festive dancing mood. Of course, a party is never a party without the delish buffet prepared by every event host. Sure enough, Bavarian and German sausages, along with the club’s yummy honey-glazed ham, added to the wonderful selection of appetizing dinner treats prepared by the City Sports’ kitchen staff. I may just have to admit that I made two trips and a half (for dessert) to the buffet, which regretfully showed in my body three days later. I would definitely want to have more of these sunset beer splashes every month to have a chance to catch up with my girlfriends, if not have a valid reason to drink and be merry for a night.

One party down, several more to go! For anyone who’s in my clique, they always know that this is the happiest time of the year for me. I just can’t help it. I’m such a Christmas person! But it doesn’t mean my scary-when-mad-alter-ego doesn’t exist anymore (take this as a warning for some). Stay tuned!
