The Costume Parade at SM

There have been claims that Halloween practices started during the 20th century, however there were also documentations claiming that Halloween traditions were already established way back the 19th century. One of these practices is Halloween costuming where kids and even adults imitate supernatural and scary creatures/beings such as monsters, witches, vampires, ghosts, among many others. Today, Halloween costumes have become less spooky.

What would Halloween be without costumes?

Here are some great ways of getting into the Halloween groove from SM:

• Fairy Tales and Magical Dreams. Little girls can have a spellbinding time as little pixies sprinkling fairy dust with charming fairy wings, wands and headbands. They can also be princesses for a day in costumes inspired by their favorite Disney princesses - Ariel of Little Mermaid, Belle of Beauty and the Beast, Aurora of Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine of Aladdin, and of course, Cinderella and Snow White.

• A Cast of Characters. It’s a whole new world as little boys and girls get to dress the part of famous historical and fictional characters. Boys will have an adventurous day dressed up as Napoleon or Prince Aladdin, while girls get the royal treatment dressed up as the Queen of the Nile, a Gothic Princess, or a Southern Belle.

• Tales from the Dark Side. If your kid thinks creepy is cool and haunting is hot, then let him or her have an old fashioned ghoulish Halloween. Boys will chill as a Ninja, a Skull Warrior or a Demon; while girls will have wicked fun as a Witch or as a Zombie Bride.
