The first couple of weeks were a bevy of birthday celebrations and beautiful ladies. On this second part, September continues to sizzle as a favorite watering hole spiced up its Saturdays, a monster-of-an-event got everyone gaga over slippers and, of course, some other events on the side that heated up the rainy month.
It was the Saturday Lust at Alejandro’s that certainly drew in the crowd! Cebu’s loveliest flocked to the restobar for an evening of good food (yes, it serves the best crispy pata in town!), great company and electrifying music. Taking its usual dance Saturdays a notch higher, skin and body were quite visible, living up to the evening’s theme. Following that steamy weekend was a cool evening at Shangri-La’s Cowrie Cove for Smirnoff’s Ice Party. The island breeze and the intoxicating sounds of DJ Cocoy Puyat heightened the evening’s mood of pure white fun. Young designer Dino Lloren showcased his ice-toned resort line during the event. Fabuloso!
The “Make Your Own Havaianas” this year was a roaring success, held at the SM Northwing activity center. So far, it was the biggest event I have witnessed in honor of flip flops. For three days, fanatics of the international slipper brand flocked to have fun and play with their creativity to design a pair that’s all about themselves. I certainly did get mine!
