A love meant for the altar

- Honey Jarque Loop -

Imagine a majestic altar covered with lush greens and the aisle decorated with blooming white cascading dendrobiums.

Such was the romantic setting when Michelle del Gallego married her long time beau, 12 years to be exact, Tomas Ngo III recently.

Michelle, radiant in an ivory princess cut gown by popular designer Jun Escario, exchanged wedding vows with Tomas at the National Shrine of St. Joseph Parish in Mandaue City. Everyone’s favorite and dearly loved Reverend Father Ernesto Javier,SJ celebrated the mid-afternoon ceremony.

Principal sponsors were Prospero Nograles, Gabriel Leyson, Ramon del Gallego, Danilo Lua represented by Francisco Jarque, Mike Gieseke represented by Marc Cools, Paul Almendras, Ricardo Alba, Elizabeth Alba, Thelma Ngo represented by daughter  Riza Go,  Marta Cabarrus, Filomena Sy, Cynthia Locsin represented by Maria Gadget Lamata, Mariconnie Risos and Marilen Jarque.

Michelle’s sister Martha was Maid of Honor and Tomas’ brothers Alexander and Christopher stood as Bestmen.

The lovely bridesmaids, the sisters of the bride Maitina Borromeo, Ma. Luisa del Gallego and Marianne Falacienski, together with Sheila Ngo looked chic and smart in midnight blue cocktail lace dresses as they walked down the aisle with not-to-be-outdone dashing groomsmen Bryan Chona, Paco Jarque, John Edward Ngo and John Jacob Lapidez.

Adorable flower girls were Michelle’s nieces, eight-months-old Ma. Victoria Elena Borromeo in a baby stroller, which was decorated with tiny flowers, and two-year-old Gabrielle June Falacienski, who simply looked like an angel that she is.

Immediately after the ceremony, guests proceeded to the foyer of the Casino Español de Cebu for cocktails before entering the grand ballroom, which was beautifully decorated with white orchids and mums by florist par excellance Pinky Chang.

The fantastic buffet showcased the club’s specialties from seafood delights, carving stations and sumptuous desserts. Receiving praises for such an innovative and I must say delicious single wedding cake, which was surrounded by tiny cupcakes was up coming baker, sister of the bride, Monique Jarque.

After much fun and laughter over dinner, the newlyweds invited guests to dance the night away to the beat of the Renaissance Band.

Each guest went home with artistically wrapped flower pots that contained lush bromeliads from the collection of the grooms loving grandmother Gloria Casas Ngo.

It was indeed a wonderful culmination to a relationship that has flourished through the years.
