Cebu Parklane International Hotel celebrates its second year anniversary today with a party for its corporate friends and guests.
Marketing and Communications Manager Jaybee Aquino said the party, which has a unique theme, is the hotel’s tribute to its loyal patrons and corporate friends.
“We came up with a hat party to be unique. It’s like saying ‘hats off’ or ‘kudos’ to both the staff for a job well done, and for the loyal guests,” she explained adding that the hotel will also be awarding the top 10 producers during the affair. Among Cebu Parklane’s top producers for 2007 are Phil. Electricity Market, Asia Travel, Globe Telecom, GTZ, San Miguel Corp., Coca Cola Bottlers Phil., LTO Cebu, Apo Cement, Pagcor Cebu and DepEd Cebu.
For a relatively young hotel, Cebu Parklane, a three-star hotel, has been doing quite well, according to Jaybee. However, she admits that the hotel had suffered birth pains, as well as growing challenges. “But what is important is that we have also developed milestones,” she added.
Jaybee shared that despite being a young hotel, Cebu Parklane has been benchmarked by other hotels that did not consider it as a competitor before. The hotel has also been active in business missions, such as the Philippine Business Mission to Japan, which was geared to capture the Japanese market. It has also regularly participated in exhibits and trade fairs, the latest of which was the Philippine International Tourism Fair, wherein Parklane won the best corporate booth award.
“We also have a new logo, which we launched last year. It symbolizes the Cebuano hospitality that we are trying to impart to our guests. We are also proud that we have a 100 percent all-Filipino management team,” Jaybee said.
As its gift to their loyal patrons, Jaybee shared that guests of Cebu Parklane can look forward to upgraded services, better food and more lifestyle choices. By the end of the year or early next year, she said 10 additional executive rooms and the executive lounge are expected to be completed. The hotel is also looking into doing package tours for its guests. According to Jaybee, even though Cebu Parklane is located in the city, the hotel does not want to limit its market to business and corporate clients, thus, they are now developing other lifestyle choices such as day tours for guests.
“We really want to show our guests that Cebu Parklane is run by an all-Filipino team but we give world class service,” she said.
