Flores de Montebello

-

Leading and constant by its commitment to help promote and develop Cebu’s rich cultural heritage, the Montebello Villa Hotel will once again launch an art exhibit, spearheaded by Artwalk Cebu members and other invited artists, on May 31 at 5:30 p.m. at the hotel lobby.

In line with celebrating the month of May as the Flower Month, the artists, through the encouragement and inspiration of Ms. Zelia Borromeo, have agreed to paint the flowers in the garden and some sceneries in and around the hotel premises, thus making the title of the show: Flores de Montebello.

For almost two decades now, the hotel has always opened its door to showcase the talent and artistry of Cebuano artists, not only  those who are prominent artistic workers but also those who are very promising in the field of visual arts, as well.

The exhibit is not only geared towards giving the local artists a suitable venue for their outputs but also serves as an opportunity for them to deepen their camaraderie and hopefully prospers into a more united and cooperative artistic community.

Participating artists of Flores de Montebello exhibit are: Jose “Kimsoy” Yap Jr., Bart Kiamko, Antonio Vidal, Luther Galicano II, Jun Impas, Ramon de Dios, John Dinglasa, Garry Watin, Jobril Villaver, Benji Goyha, Fe Madrid Pepito, Sonia Yrastorza, Cesar Castillo, Ritchie Quijano, Celso Duazo Pepito and Patricia Rolison Aquino, participating artist from Manila.

Joining the opening of the show as guests of honor are Mrs. Carmen Go, Mrs. Paulette Liu, Mrs. Rosebud Sala, Mrs. Penny Williams and Mrs. Louie Alvarez.
