Cebu Mary Immaculate College, Inc. of D. Jakosalem and Talamban campuses celebrated Dance Fest 2008 at the SM Entertainment Center, Cebu last February 9.
Presented were the nursery, kindergarten, elementary pupils, high school and college students of the school.
Dance Fest was a showcase of dance talents where competing groups were categorized into three: namely, category A - Preschool, category B - Primary and category C - Intermediate and Secondary. Dancing to the beat of the fifties, sixties, seventies up to present, the performers were at their best in both quality of performance and visual impact, the preschoolers and graders making the most impact upon dancing to the music only their great grandparents could reminisce.
Winning the top prize were kindergarten I and II, Grades Two and Three and High School students of CMICI Jakosalem campus.
This writer’s invitation to chair the judges committee for the said competition, made for a happy reunion with CMICI administrator, Dr. Montana Phua, who was his elementary principal in USC Boys’ High School (now USC North Campus) way back in the eighties.
Dance Fest was made possible through the efforts of CMICI Parents’ Circle.
More power to CMICI!
