Black and White Wonders

Rarely if at all do we see black and white photos this time of the century, and we doff our hats to Master Photographers Davocol and de Leon for sharing their hidden treasures with the Cebuanos. As we went around looking at the photos, we were attracted to two pictures...one entitled “Reflections” by Emil Davocol with an excerpt that says: “No matter how heavy the burden, the load becomes lighter the moment we rest and ponder.” The other picture is entitled “Convictions” with another excerpt... “True friendship is a rock solid on a bed of cool still water – the golden leaf, a chronicle of time.”
How beautiful the phrases are...and how timely. Especially nowadays when people don’t have time to ponder simply because they are loaded with extreme problems and their hearts are burdened. If only these people have seen the exhibit, it would have eased their burden, not to mention the heat of viewing the marvelous sceneries of rural living.
Anyway, on opening day, Cebu City First Lady Margot Osmeña cut the ribbon assisted by the artists – Emil Davocol and Rudy de Leon with SM City Cebu’s AVP Marissa Fernan who was actually at the helm of the exhibit.
