A Piece of Jewelry
It’s that time of year. December marks the end of the calendar, but to many, it’s a time for new beginnings...
A few weeks ago, I sat down with my young friends in fashion over drinks, right after we got off from our own nooks, to just hang out, and update on the latest, so to speak ...what’s in, what’s out, and what’s gonna be the next big thing to hit fashion in Cebu. Minutes past and something just kept flashing right in front of my face that caught my attention. This pretty peculiar object that’s hanging on Noreen Tseng’s neck just won’t leave my sight. “I got to have that!” ... and was I surprised to know that it was Noreen’s new venture—making one of a kind pieces of jewelry and accessories that’s treated like a work of art to me. My impulse told me to get down and interview this stylish young lady, whom I have dressed up years back on her school days when she attended parties and events.
AZ: Tell me about your influences and what prompted you to design jewelry?
NT: I’ve always wanted to look good with whatever I’m wearing. Probably because I’m surrounded by stylish and updated people since I was little. I usually tag along with my mom everytime she goes to her designers for clothes, and so that’s where I developed a habit of getting custom made outfits for myself.
AZ: What’s your personal style?
NT: I like a little bit of everything. I like mixing designer clothes with ready to wear brands and never go out of the house without an accessory to compliment.
AZ: How did you start creating accessories?
NT: My interest started when my Dad ventured into supplying components to different fashion accessory exporters here in
