Practical Personalities Even your favorite stars are wise in giving gifts this Christmas

Christmas is in the air! Many are making plans as early as November on how to celebrate the most-awaited holiday of the year. Some are doing early Christmas shopping so as not to rush as the holiday approaches. This year, when you think of things to give as presents, remember that even your favorite stars are being wise in buying gifts this Christmas.

People’s enthusiasm for the nearing event is truly apparent. Despite people’s excitement, there are those who are puzzled on what to give their friends and family for Christmas without spending too much. If you, too, are keeping a limited budget for presents, you need not worry. Here are some celebrities who prefer to give out practical but remarkable and unique gifts for Christmas.

There are TV personalities who prefer to give out something to wear, “so that every time he or she uses the item, it will remind him or her of me,” asserts Erich Gonzalez, Grand Winner of Star Circle Quest Batch 2. GMA’s My Only Love star Marco Alcaraz affirms this. “Usually I give a shirt. It is not that expensive, yet it feels good on my part to see my friend wearing it.”

ABS-CBN’s Super Inggo 1.5, Ang Bagong Bangis stars Marvin Raymundo and Jaymee Joaquin tell us that a practical Christmas gift they can give to someone are gift certificates, ”they’re very consumable, and the receiver has the option to choose the gift they like, or the GC can simply help in one way or another.”

The perky Emman Abatayo of Pinoy Dream Academy says, “a prepaid card would be very practical. Simple and affordable. They can call or text their loved ones for the holidays. Para lahat masaya!”

I would probably take my family out to dinner, and give my friends something that is of use. Pillows and the usual stuff we give during the season is very nice but those are not really important. To have a healthy body and good skin are on the things that I’d like to give this season,” shares PBB Season 2 Big Winner, Beatriz Saw.

The ideas may help you in choosing what you can give out for Christmas. People should look for something affordable but not at the expense of its importance to the person whom it’s given. PDA Scholar Panky Trinidad says, “one has to know the interests of the person. If my subject is a musician,a set of brand new guitar strings would be cool. That way, I am sure the gift is appreciated and useful to him. Plus, it’s light on the pocket.” Valerie “Bangs” Garcia  says, “I love to draw, so for Christmas, I’ll give them Christmas cards specially designed and made by me. The materials I’ll be using are very affordable  yet it would be very meaningful knowing that I worked hard for it.”

The Christmas season may be the season of giving and sharing but let us not forget that what is more important is it also calls for unity, thanksgiving, peace, joy and love. As Star Circle Quest Batch 2’s Paw Diaz puts it, “Christmas is about sharing, and spending time with the family.”
