Summer’s last hurrah

Models from M.A.C. recently danced the Latin beat and embraced the hot Latin spirit as two designers unfolded their sizzling collections in two separate high profile events. Fashion’s enfant terrible Jun Escario wowed the A-list crowd conspicuously gathered at Formo for Sugarbuzzz Production’s Brazilian Summer Chillout Party. Literally sashaying on the runway were Elvira Stehr in a gold sequined coatdress and matching bikini bottom, Stephanie Señires in beaded black and white jersey tops and skinny trousers with an oversized gold beach bag, Gwen Trott in a beaded caramel halter dress with swingy tassles on the skirt and a bevy of golden-skinned models.

Not to be outdone was Hilton Resort Hotel and Spa’s Club Hilton launch hosted by Jude Bacalso and organized by I Do Productions. Ivan Belocura’s Lounge Wear elbowed with high profile hotelier Manny Osmeña and his equally positioned guests including recently re-elected Governor Gwen Garcia and Secretary of Tourism Mr. Ace Durano. Karla Bautista danced the salsa as she traipsed the diagonal runway to the beat of the conga. Melanie Ediza, Anna Igpit and Elvira were enigmatic in various frenzy feeding outfits in jersey, lace and satin. Menswear include linen trouser pants with jersey shrug on Martin and a very comfy linen pajama pants and matching shirt on Kevin Guynn.

Indeed, both were summer’s last hurrah as temperature rose higher in those nights! Bravissimo!
