Baby Cruz to talk about a woman's beauty

-
Although we are not supposed to judge a book by its cover and that it is the inside of a person that is most important, it does not mean that women shouldn't care what they look like.

"Beauty in Us" will emphasize the importance of women - of all ages - presenting themselves in a manner that would make the world take notice that they care for themselves and the people around them, that you are in tune with the times, and that one can be both modest and fashionable at the same time. Inner and outer beauty should be the goal of every woman.

"Beauty in Us" will also address more serious subjects such as how to foster and improve the relationship of mother and daughter, education and career, human sexuality, dating, marriage, and motherhood. "Beauty in Us" is about the gift of being a woman, a daughter, a wife, a mother - a complete person.

"Beauty in Us" is the 2nd Family Conference of PAREF Southcrest School, in cooperation with Educhild (Education for the Upbringing of Children) Foundation, which is slated on February 17, Saturday, 11:00a.m., at the ballroom of Casino Español de Cebu.

Main speaker of the intimate discussion will be Lifestyle Asia's columnist and 2006 Best Dressed Women in the Philippines awardee Baby G. Cruz. Cruz, who is also franchisee of Franck Provost Paris and Fabio Salsa in Asia. She will be sharing her views on mother and daughter relations, practical advice on how to look one's best at all times, and the importance of character building.

To join the discussion will be Cruz's daughter, Tisha Cruz-Bautista, president of Franck Provost Paris - Manila for the past ten years and is currently the Managing Director of the newly-established ISDANCO Foundation that is dedicated to value formation, alternative skills development, and working with Philippine pride.

Guest panelists will be Marie Lopez Escueta and her daughter, Gigay. Marie heads Educhild with husband, Manolo, and they together moderate Educhild's Parenting Courses and Family Visioning workshop. She gives talks and presents papers here and abroad on a whole range of topics including Ode to Womanhood, Irreplaceable Role of Woman in the Home, Educating Your Children in Love and in Faith, among others.

Although born in Australia, Gigay is a true blue PAREF student, having began her preschool education at PAREF Rosemont and here primary and secondary education at PAREF Woodrose School, wherein she has been consistently been gold and silver awardees; while joining NAMCYA ballet competitions on the side. She is currently on her 4th year of high school at Woodrose, where she is head cheerdancer and COMELEC moderator and makes time to choreograph the primary musical "The Little Empress" that will be staged on February 23.

"The Beauty in Us" is initiated by the 4th year high school students of PAREF Southcrest School, whose batch recently got the highest passing scores to Manila's top universities: 100 percent for the University of Asia and the Pacific, 67percent for the University of the Philippines, 60 percent for Ateneo de Manila, and 100percent for De La Salle University.
