Triumphant Triumvirate: Norkis Yamaha, Protacio and Marichu Tan

Amidst a mixed elbow to elbow crowd vying for breathing space at the Ayala Entertainment Center for the Norkis Yamaha Gearing Up runway show, Protacio wowed the audience with his inimitable style. Each inspired by the Norkis Yamaha motorbikes on display, the clothes had the prolific designer unleash his knack for sharp tailoring and quirky mix of hues and texture. The Norkis Yamaha Sniper in Bio Mech design brought forth a cerulean shirt in matte and sheen textured raw silk matched with-surprise-pin striped shorts. From the yellow Yamaha Camel Sniper, a canary yellow shirt and gunmetal gray trousers were dished out. Hunky models from M.A.C.>Models Association of Cebu struted their stuff on a motorbike-lined runway, simulating a well paved racetrack. What followed was men's wear modified to suit the urban lifestyle. Most notable were an ash gray with an embroidered back detail, a beaded red tie on near navy shirt with navy pants lined with turquoise belt detail and an embroidered dark gray shirt with khaki trousers with red belt line.

On the other side of the style equilibrium is Marichu Tan's chic ladies wear in earth tones worn by the beauty queen cum models from the same agency, as guest models. A jersey wood bark brown dress had collar-like strips of various fabriques comprising the skirt. Environmental friendly is this bubble hemmed dress with wriggly worm-like detailing and in sheath silhouette. Chocolate brown leggings added an easy look on a Vietnam silk chiffon dress and blouse with a jersey and lace bubble skirt.

Norkis Yamaha's fashionable bikes came in handy and complemented the designers' collections. The Norkis Yamaha X-1 came in pearlized black while the new Mio Z and Nuovo Mx were perfection in form and function. With it, one is all set to gear up in style. To the triumvirate of Norkis Yamaha, Marichu Tan and Protacio, bravissimo!
