Blessing and Inaugurations

Chowking, better known as the most popular fast-food chain that offers a wide variety of choices, is now proliferating in our burg. Even in the western hemisphere (USA), Chowking is now a byword.
Two years ago, young entrepreneurs Ian and Marites Tan opened an outlet (as franchisees) at the E-Mall. Since then, this fast-food outlet is almost always full to the brim. We can only say that food business is truly good, especially in the malls.
So last Wednesday, another outlet was opened at a very strategic place at Tango Plaza along Queens Road corner Gotianuy Road - right across the Redemptorist Church.
Guest of honor was DOT 7 Director Dawnie Roa, assisted by Art Aben, Operations Manager of Chowking and Allen Arvin Tan-franchisee. Fr. William Skeehan blessed the premises and the pristine kitchen. Also assisting was the owner, Allen Tan who manages the outlet. Of course, doting Mom Mayen Angbetic Tan couldn't miss this happening and was all around greeting all media guests who came for the blessing and inauguration.
Heavy and continuous rains did not dampen the spirits of the owners of Abuhan Tres when the third restaurant was opened two weeks ago with Msgr. Achilles Dakay sprinkling holy water over the place.
Located right across the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel in IT Park, Abuhan Tres still remains its name as having the best "pochero" in town.
Owner Antonio "Dodong" Osmeña and General Manager Alfredo "Dodong" Villamor saw to it that guests were comfortable despite the heavy downpour.
Abuhan Tres has now a new batch of young people running the business: Perry Villamor - manager, while brod Jason, sisters Carla V. Alegrado (wife of Bernard A.), and Marisse V. Uy (wife of Kolours' great Kelly) are assisted Perry.
Our dear friend Nelia Neri who is a good friend of Oling Villamor (wife of Dodong V.) told us that Abuhan Tres has added family recipes to the original pochero, like Paella Cebuana, Callos de Lola Carmen, Loi's Fried Chicken and Oling's Homemade Ham.
