Elena's lunch for a balikbayan

Business-woman Elena Du Jarantilla hosted lunch at the Casino Español de Cebu a few moons ago for Fiza Y. Du, wife of Elena's cousin Gerry Du.

The happy gathering was attended by Elena's children - Mark and Beep Jarantilla, Joyce Du Fernan, Jonjon and Happy Jarantilla, Joven Du, Dr. Maribel Du, Leoning Du and Fer Ynclino, sans of course, Rolly who had a golf date with a friend from Bacolod.

Next day, Tina Jordana, a very dear friend of Fiza from their Inmaculada days, gathered members of their gang and they too had lunch at the Casino Español. With this group in perfect attendance, especially with the gang's favorite "boy" Bobby Lozada's presence, the luncheon gathering lasted for about four hours. But they did not end there. Later in the early evening, the group motored to the beautiful hilltop summer house of Councilor Gabby Leyson, now being groomed as the next Mayor of Talisay City. Gabby has his people prepare a marvelous dinner for the girls like lechon, seafoods galore including lato, and all kinds of local fruits including nangka and durian. Having had a wonderful overnight stay at the summer house, the girls didn't mind the sleepless night as they enjoyed every minute of it since some of them have not seen each other for almost twenty years after they graduated from high school from Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepcion. The girls agreed, anyway, that five years from then, they will meet again, maybe in Las Vegas?
