A concert for a cause and Metro Society's 2nd anniversary bash

INTO THE SCENE - INTO THE SCENE By Han Kintanar -
The Seventh Day Adventist of Capitol Center Youth Organization , in cooperation with the SDACC Philanthropic Department, will hold a fund-raising concert (a repeat of the very successful one held sometime October of last year) for the benefit the youth organization's various community outreach programs such as medical, dental and feeding.

Dubbed as "CELEBRATE: We Will Exalt Your Name", this worthy project will be held on December 2, 2006 (this coming Saturday), 7:00pm at the CAP Arts Center along Jones Avenue, Cebu City. The concert will feature young talented members of the SDA from all over the metro, performing acoustic Christian contemporary songs.

Tickets are pegged at P99 only. For more details, one may call tel. no. 412-2100 local 122 or mobile phone no. 0915-431-1802 and look for Stuwart Suelto.

Let us support this noble project for a worthy cause which will benefit our less fortunate brothers and sisters in the spirit of Christmas. Let's celebrate and exalt HIS name! See you there!

It was a night of music from the 70's, good company, good food and endless booze at the beach when Metro Society Magazine hosted a Coco Banana theme party at Shangri-La's Mactan Island Resort and Spa's beach front for the most-read lifestyle magazine's second anniversary celebration.

The fete, which ended 'til the break of dawn, was very well attended by Cebu's name droppables from the business world. Not to mention the fashionistas, ramp and commercial models, beauty queens and young society royals! It was the second leg of a series of three big parties: in Manila last September and in Davao this month.

Very much at the helm to welcome the beautiful faces of Cebu were Metro Society Magazine's outgoing editor, the well-bred and classy Lia Bernardo; incoming editor who was properly introduced that evening, "muy simpatico" Raul Manzano; Metro Society contributing writer, Maricris Encarnacion, Shangri-La Mactan's PR mega asset Sharon Samarista and her equally pleasing assistant Lesley Tan.

Surely, it was one of those countless glittery nights at the Shangri-La! Kudos!
