Tetada Kalimasada operates on the basic principle that "man is composed of matter and energy." Thus, the exercise stimulates the seven main energy centers, or "chakras" of the body to generate extensive bio-electricity, converts it into energy and allows it to effectively flow internally and externally.
The seven energy centers are the base/root (reproductive organ), navel, lymph, heart, throat, brow and crown.
In addition to cultivation of inner energy and healing ability of the practitioner, Tetada Kalimasada enhances development of mental concentration and emotional control. It empowers the member to use his inner energy for the holistic well being of the individual.
The term "Kalima-sada" is taken from the ancient legend of Mahabharata. "Tetada" is used in conjunction with Kalimasada to represent the institution (TE) Terapi (TA) Tenaga (DA) Dalam which translates to INNER ENERGY THERAPY.
Tetada Kalimasada is an ancient Indonesian method of inner energy development and self-induced therapy, which has been passed down through many generations of Soruhadi family. For the past 500 years, the knowledge, practice and teachings have been exclusive to this Javanese family.
More than 10 years ago, the present Grand Master, Eddy Surohadi, was motivated to share the knowledge and teachings throughout the world for the good of mankind.
In september 1991, the Institute for the Development of Inner Energy Cultivation and Therapy was founded in Indonesia. Known for its martial arts powers, Surohadi decided to focus on the healing side of Tetada Kalimsada.
Led by his wife, Ida Surohadi, a medical doctor, Tetada Kalimasada has established a research and development team, consisting of over a dozen medical specialists in Indonesia and Europe. Their objective is to constantly improve the teaching methods with the end result of allowing the practice to become more scientific.
"This is not martial arts but a transfer of energy. We can kill but we can also do healing," said Ibu Ida, who is in Cebu early this week to attend several Tetada Kalimasada activities. (Ibu means lady/woman in Indonesian)
The ability to transfer Tetada kalimasada correctly is transferred to members only by trained and authorized instructors under a programmed guidance.
Practitioners of Tetada Kalimasada clarified that no self-hypnosis or psychic ability is required to achieve its main goals as it is purely a natural and rational method of inner energy cultivation for alternative therapy through a progressive curriculum of anaerobic alpha concentration exercise.
Tetada Kalimasada is symbolized by white circle overlapping the black, which means unity and balance of the physical and spiritual aspects of life, working together in harmony.
