Laced and bejeweled

The Ocean Pavilion at the Shangri-la Mactan Island resort and Hotel was the latest fashion arena as La Perla, the Rolls Royce of lingerie, and Stefan Hafner, Italy's premier jewelry line, unfolded their latest collections. The highly anticipated show did not disappoint as exquisite hand-stitched lingerie of satin slips, lacy bras and panties with extra detailing came into view, worn by top models from M.A.C> Models Association of Cebu. In full force were Cebu's glitterati dressed in their best finery. They ooh-ed and aah-ed as model after model traced the red carpeted impromptu runway.

Even more fabulous were Stefan Hafner's jewelry that outshone the star-bedecked night. There were diamond encrusted chokers that adorned the swan-like neck of the models. Most notable was a chunky piece of necklace that alternated with onyx and diamonds, worn by model Guia Chua. There were also ruby rings and other precious stones set in white gold settings. During the finale, the models sashayed out of the red carpet and mixed briefly with the already enthralled crowd to the latter's delight. The presence of FTv Fashion Television upped the style quotient of the event.
