(1) You are stressed, signs of which include dizziness, cravings for salt or sweets, headaches and trouble in sleeping. This is because you probably have fat around your stomach, which makes you hungry and slows your metabolism. The solution is to exercise, have a massage or meditate. Have a hot drink but avoid caffeine.
(2) You have hayfever, allergies, infections and bad headaches after meals. This slows metabolism. The solution is to cut down on sugar, white rice, white pasta, bread and alcohol.
(3) You are tired all the time, sensitive to perfume or smoke and having extreme muscle pain. The ones at most risk are both smokers and passive smokers, sunbathers, overeaters and ones who eat less than five servings of fruit and vegetables a day. The solution is to have green tea and dark chocolate and to avoid smoking, pollution and over-eating.
(4) You have an under-active thyroid. Signs of which include thick finger nails, dry skin, hoarse voice, thinning hair, cold hands and feet, muscle pain, loss of sex drive, fluid retention, trouble in concentration, depression and constipation. The solution is to eat more seaweed, dark green leaves, fish and nuts even if your doctor says that you don't have a clinically under-active thyroid. You know your body more than anyone else!
(5) You have a toxic overload when you have dark urine, rarely sweat, muscle pain, concentration problem, dizziness after drinking coffee and sensitive to strong odors. These toxins overload your liver and disrupt weight control. The solution is to eat less, drink clean water and exercise.
(6) You have a slow metabolism and need to turbo-charge it. Having an unbalanced diet causes your body to become weak. The solution is to stop dieting and eat properly. You are starving and dehydrating yourself through dieting. I don't believe in dieting, but I do believe in having a good diet.
(7) You have an appetite that is completely out of control if you crave for sweets and junk food, tired after eating, or eat fewer than five portions of fruit and vegetables, skip breakfast and eat less than 3 times a day. This means that your appetite is out of balance. The solution is to eat whole grains and foods that are high in fibre, Eat every three to four hours, but avoid sugar. Do not skip breakfast, as it is the most important meal of the day!
Hope you've enjoyed this, as much as I did. Believe me, this is really helpful!
