Marketing the Philippines Best

The Philippines has yet again made its mark in the international tourism map as ADKOM. Hong Kong Ltd., publisher of tourism magazine Action Asia, recently published a 24-page supplement highlighting the islands' action-adventure destinations, affirming that the country's top tourist sites are among the world's finest attractions.
The tourism magazine's adventure travel insert was officially launched recently at the prestigious Tower Club in Makati City. Action Asia Editor-in-chief Steve White, CEO and publisher of Adkom Media Group Olivier Burlot, and DOT Assistant Secretary for Planning and Promotions Eduardo Jarque. Jr. graced the occasion.
Also present during the presentation were representatives of the Department of Tourism and Adkom, Action Asia, adventure and sports organizations and members of the media.
With Action Asia's circulation all over Asia plus Australia and the other Pacific Islands, the said publication has a wide subscription and readership among tourists, businessmen and entrepreneurs, adventure seekers and professionals. It is an effective instrument in promoting the Philippines within DOT's top markets, especially China, Japan and Korea.
Tourism Secretary Ace Durano announced. "The Department of Tourism (DOT) is presently actively promoting through several high-impact advertisements in our priority markets and Action Asia is such a formidable channel that will assist us attain our goal of making the Philippines known to travelers around the globe as a must-go and must-see destination."
