Celebrating life
August 28, 2005 | 12:00am
Favored with life's bountiful blessings of a supportive family, friends and successful careers, three distinguished gentlemen and a fine lady had many reasons to celebrate.
And what better way to mark another milestone than to be surrounded by relatives and friends who have touched their hearts and made a difference in their lives.
Birthday celebrants Ed Gonzalez, Tony Lozada, Jos Moraza and Maricar Perdices jointly hosted a fun-filled denim party at the grand ballroom of the Casino Español de Cebu.
The festivities started with cocktails and picas amidst lively conversations. Childhood friend Jon Aboitiz and genuine pal John Domingo tendered heart-warming toasts and briefly shared their memorable experiences. Not a few eyes turned misty from these reminiscences.
Keeping the party swinging all night were likeable couple, the Honorary Consul Jose Sala and his wife Susan, bubbly Vicky Moraza, lead band singer Jun Jereza, Doctor Chito Paulin, and avid golfers Rene Sarmiento, Bugs Unchuan and Maxcy Borromeo.
Society matron Rosebud Sala with her gentleman husband Choy, together with party planner Teresin Mendezona, SM's Marissa Fernan and accomplished architect Tessie Javier also joined the party, much to the delight of the four more than golden birthday celebrants.
A sumptuous buffet dinner was served with the added spice of the Renaissance Band treating everyone to a medley of old time favorites and popular tunes.
In lieu of gifts, the invitees were requested to give to their favorite charities. Now isn't that a wonderful way to celebrate life?
