Angelika denies going under the knife

I do believe ABS-CBN has run out of top-rate hosts. After invest-ing millions in its new reality series "Pinoy Big Brother," the network settled for a host a comedian who has built a reputation for lasciviousness.

Edu Manzano could have been a far better choice to host the show. Or Arnell Ignacio. What was ABS-CBN thinking? o0o

If you take a good look at Angelika dela Cruz, you'd notice she has a bigger bust. The actress does not hide the fact that her boobs have increased in size. But she swears she did not have a breast augmentation.

So how did she do it? Pills. Angelika says she's been taking birth-control pills! Her gynecologist advised her to take pills to regulate her monthly period. It seems that her period is irregular, a trait that runs in her family.

"I found out that when you take pills, the tendency is for your bust to grow larger," she said, pointing to her well-endowed boobs. "I also wear some padding."

Besides her bust, there was also talk that Angelika had her chin surgically fixed to make it prominent. "I didn't. What happened is that I had my dentist adjust my bite. When I was in high school, I had my braces removed because I was going into showbiz. That made my chin seem smaller. Recently I started wearing braces for my lower teeth. It was painful but I had to bear it. Now I've gotten used to the braces and my chin looks more prominent."

Her chin was not Angelika's only problem when she was a kid. She also used to wear braces on her legs because they were bowed. "They called me 'bakal girl' then," she recalled.

Angelika's career seems to be in the skids. Her last movie was "Ikaw Ang Lahat sa Akin" - a forgettable project where her role was mercifully short.

She's waiting for a film that's been offered to her. But everything's still up in the air. All she knows is that she will have a longer role in it, one that will put her in a love triangle with Diether Ocampo and Claudine Barretto.

She's been in showbiz for the last 10 years and she hasn't achieved her goal. "I want to be an actress, a real actress, like Claudine." At 23, Angelika should be getting more serious roles. So far, she's been consigned to minor parts.

Her lovelife is also a big fat zero, she claims. She's been linked to Derek Ramsey but she says he's just a barkada.

What about Victor Neri? "We don't communicate. No text, no phone," she said.

Angelika's contract with ABS-CBN Star Magic expires next month, and she has no plans yet of renewing. o0o

I can't imagine Marvin Agustin having as father-in-law Faustino Dy, the former governor of Isabela. My source tells me Marvin has no plans of marrying Dy's daughter, Tetet, who is carrying his child.

But Tetet's parents don't seem to mind if a wedding is not in the cards, because they are eagerly awaiting the birth of their grandchild. The ex-governor has been in the limelight lately because he is supposed to be privy to poll fraud in last year's elections. The administration and the opposition are racing against each other to get to Dy.

Marvin is said to be leaving for the US to join up with the Dy family there and to be present when Tetet gives birth. o0o

How time flies. I didn't realize that Showbiz Stripped hosted by Ricky Lo and Melanie Marquez has had 18 episodes already. On Sunday the co-hosts will take on showbiz personalities who have come out of the closet to admit they are either gay or lesbian.

Guests in the episode title "I Am, What I Am, Care Ko" are IC Mendoza, Mel Martinez, Jeanette Joaquin, Lady Dee and DJ Alvaro. o0o

Angelina Jolie is someone that has transcended Hollywood stardom. Recently, the screen temptress was granted citizenship by Cambodia in honor of her environmental efforts in that country and because she adopted a Cambodian child.

Angelina helped raise $2 million to assist wildlife reserves in Cambodia. She fell in love with Cambodia when shooting the 2001 film "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" at the famed Angkor Wat temple. She also owns a home in that country.

In 2002 she adopted a Cambodian boy, Maddox, now aged four. Last month she adopted an Ethiopian girl, Zahara Marley, who is not yet one year old. Talk about raising a global family!

Angelina is being linked to heartthrob Brad Pitt, but they have refused to acknowledge a relationship despite being seen and photographed together.

Angelina is twice-divorced and was last married to actor Billy Bob Thornton. Brad has just broken up with Jennifer Aniston.
