“Napakahilig kong magbasa. Dati rati, before social media, I was reading books and magazines all the time. But now, everything has turned digital, I still read books. Ang Kindle ko nandito sa telepono ko, and I watch a lot of videos and podcasts,” he said.

As his fans and followers know, Kuya Kim is very active on social media. “It is a must. Some people say that we should avoid social media because it is bad for mental health. Social media is neutral – it would depend on the person to use it positively or negatively. As much as I could, I would like to be salt and light in social media, and at the same time I follow people who are salt and light as well.”

He added, “But being in the public eye, it’s important to be immersed in social media. We have to know the trends, how the algorithm and each platform works, and use it to be salt and light to my viewers and subscribers.”
