Atom Araullo enters his pilot era
CEBU, Philippines — Journalist Atom Araullo takes on a once-in-a-lifetime challenge of becoming a student pilot for the episode of I-Witness titled “Pangarap na Paglipad,” airing tonight, June 8, at 10:15 p.m. on GMA.
For three days, Atom goes through ground classes and tedious trainings in Dumaguete with one goal in mind – to be able to fly and pilot a plane.
As he immerses as a student pilot, he meets individuals who have dedicated their lives to the aviation industry. One of Atom’s classmates, Emie Timawain, is a new student in the school. For 10 years, she has served as the school’s janitress and runner. Until last year, she was offered a scholarship and is now officially a student pilot.
The host also meets one of the best instructors in the aviation school, Captain JT Cordova, who started his journey in 2013. He became a pilot at the age of 17, and has been teaching more than 30 students in the past decade.

“Defendants told these lies, and never stopped, because it was a better story than the truth, and better stories made money. And Netflix, a multinational billion dollar entertainment streaming company did literally nothing to confirm the ‘true story’ that Gadd told.”
The suit against Netflix alleges defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence, among other claims, and demands $170 million.
